This policy explains the cookies and similar technologies that may be used on the ACUX Energy website and Partner Portal.

What cookies are
Cookies are small text files stored by a website on a visitor’s device. Similar technologies can store or access information for security, preferences, measurement or other functions.
How this website uses them
| Category | Purpose | Typical duration |
|---|---|---|
| Strictly necessary | Website operation, security, authentication, Partner Portal sessions and remembering cookie choices. | Session to approximately 12 months, depending on function. |
| Analytics | Understanding aggregate website use and performance. These technologies are used only where the applicable choice or objection mechanism has been provided. | Varies by provider; commonly from a session to 24 months. |
| Third-party content | Content embedded from another service may set its own technologies. ACUX will avoid loading non-essential third-party content before the required visitor choice. | Set by the relevant provider. |
Google Analytics and Site Kit
If Google Analytics is enabled through Site Kit, identifiers such as _ga and _ga_* may be used to distinguish visits and produce aggregate statistics. ACUX should configure its consent tool so non-essential analytics are not loaded until the visitor has made the required choice, and so rejecting is as straightforward as accepting.
Managing choices
Visitors can use the website’s cookie controls, where displayed, to accept, reject or revise optional choices. Browser settings can also block or remove cookies, although blocking strictly necessary cookies may prevent login or other secure functions from working.
